We're No Fools - Training for Parents of children who are being suspended and expelled from school

In the 2015-2016 school year 8.4% of children in New Orleans were suspended out of school. In 2010, ACT 136 was passed requring teachers to receive professional development on Restorative Justice practices, Positive Behavior Supports and conflict resolution. Our goal is to make sure that all schools use positive behavior support strategies that prevent disruption, reduce conflict and improve academic outcomes while decreasing the number of suspensions and expulsions and reducing the amount of time a child is out of school without educational services.
