EASTER DINNER AT THE YOUTH STUDY CENTER:

On Thursday March 28,2013 members and staff from FFLIC and JJPL had the opportunity to have dinner with the youth at the Youth Study Center (YSC) over the Easter Holidays. We participated in break out groups that gave the youth the chance to share their struggles and their dreams. The youth enjoyed the meal and truly enjoyed interacting with community. We would like to thank the staff at YSC for inviting us inside to share valuable conversation. We all understand the importance of these events which is more than a meal, rather deep concerns about the children - our future. Thanks to everyone who donated money, candy and time: Ann Rabin, Liane Rozzell, Lynette Adams, Shanena Johnson, Dana Kaplan, Charmaine Washington, Chandra Grayson, Micheal Grey, Brenda Nolan, FFLIC and YSC staff. We look forward creating more events like this so we can close the gap between our youth and our future.

EASTER BASKETS DELIVERED TO EDGAR P. HARNEY SPIRIT OF EXCELLENCE AND THE COMMUNITY

FFLIC spent a few hours with the Kindergarten and First Grade classes of

Edgar P. Harney Spirt of Excellence

on March 27th, 2013 at our 4th annual Easter Basket Give-a-way to promote Positive Behavior. 

The children were so excited as they accepted special baskets put together by staff and volunteers:

We delivered over 100 baskets to the school and another 60 baskets to FFLIC families and other families in the community.
